In 2015, Creative Love Happening was created in Washington, DC to celebrate the 80th birthday of Wayne Shorter. The concert featured the music that Mr. Shorter wrote for the 70’s supergroup, Weather Report. Since then, we have expanded our repertoire to include other music, including original compositions that have some of the same eclectic, improvisational spirit of Shorter’s works.

This performance was scheduled earlier this year, and with the recent passing of jazz giant Wayne Shorter, Creative Love Happening’s musical offering becomes all the more poignant. With Harold Summey at drums and Seth Lewis at bass, the quintet includes Brad Goode at trumpet, Ben Parrish at guitar, and Max Moore at piano.

It’s the Creative Love Happening, LIVE from KUVO, Thursday, March 23 at 7 pm!

LIVE performances on KUVO JAZZ are supported by Bonfils Stanton Foundation, Drum City Guitarland, Grace Design Pro Audio, Listen Up, Schmitt Music – Englewood, and made possible by KUVO’s Studio Club and Beat Collective members.
