The Andy Nevala Quartet will perform for Studio Club in the Phyllis A. Greer Studio on Friday, September 6 from 4 to 5pm. They will perform a mix of Eddie Palmieri, Tito Puente, and Joao Gilberto.
This will be “a little taste” of their gig at Dazzle on September 7. The first set will be a tribute to Joao Gilberto – bossa nova and samba arrangements of his greatest hits. The 2nd set will be a Latin dance party featuring the music of Eddie Palmieri and Tito Puente, with horns.
This is a reunion show – the group hasn’t performed together in 10 years. Andy Nevala on piano, Gonzolo Teppa on bass, Jeff Nathanson on sax, Jose Espino on percussion and Drums TBA
