Cipriano Ortega is one of Denver’s most eclectic creatives. A true Renaissance Man, Ortega is an actor, poet, visual artist and of course, musician. On Sunday April 23rd at 4:00 PM he will join La Molly on Super Sonido to talk about his latest project “Cipriano”.

Inspired by Mark Sandman, of Boston band Morphine, and his two string slide bass, Cipriano’s “A Whole New Low” explores limitation and simplicity. Harkening back to the beginnings of Blues and Jazz, Cipriano even makes his own guitars. It is an intimacy that becomes imbued in the music itself. Using elements of Jazz, Beat Poetry, Noir film, and Nihilism to communicate his presence and perspective of the world, Cipriano and “A Whole New Low” follows the rebellious footsteps of its predecessors.

Tune in Sunday April 23rd at 4PM to hear more!
