Funky Boombox: The Best of 2019

The Funky Boombox playlist of 2019 was dominated by international and Colorado artists. Almost half of the twenty-five songs are from international stars, including New Mastersounds from England, Soul Messin’ Allstars from Australia, and Alexis Evans from France. Colorado artists include The Burroughs, The Motet, The Jive Tribe, and Atomga. All in all, the artists represent the very best of modern soul and funk. Diverse musical sounds find their home on the Funky Boombox, from the retro stylings of Kelly Finnigan and Eli “Paperboy” Reed to the sleek soul of The Black Pumas and Michael Kiwanuka to the Big Funk sound of The Motet and Raphael Saddiq.
