Next on KUVO’s performance series “On Stage,” a celebration of the six-stringed instrument that delights players the world over – the guitar! Sessions with Tab Benoit, Charles Gatschet, Diego Figueiredo, and Felonious Smith are featured this Saturday night, October 16 at 10 pm. and Monday, October 18 at 7 pm.

Cajun troubadour Tab Benoit has made Denver a regular stop on his travels.  We’re lucky to have him willing to stop by and plugin when he’s in town. Straight-ahead Charles Gatschet is also no stranger to the Mile High City. He’s been playing here for years, traveling over I-70 from his native Kansas City. Brazilian maestro Diego Figueiredo has made the Vail Jazz Party a frequent engagement, and KUVO is on his list of stops when he’s in Colorado.

And then there’s Jeff “Felonius Smith,” who visited KUVO with his trio and uses his National resonator guitar to present traditional acoustic pre-war blues, Delta blues, country blues, and folk blues based on the styles from the 1920’s and 1930’s.

Catch the magic of these live performances mostly recorded at KUVO’s Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio! That’s this Saturday night at 10 pm and Monday night at 7 pm, hosted by Susan Gatschet. “On Stage,” a KUVO exclusive!
