R&B Jukebox MLK Special

The third Monday of each January is designated as a Day of Service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of creating a more equitable community. A peaceful warrior for civil rights and systemic change, Dr. King’s legacy is commemorating on the R&B Jukebox.

You’ll hear music from Solomon Burke, Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, The Impressions, Otis Redding, James Brown, and Sister Rosetta Tharpe.

Join host Rolando Garcia as he weaves the R&B tunes that reflect the struggle and the hope of Black America in the ’50s and ’60s Saturday, January 15, at 6 pm. Only on KUVO JAZZ!
