The Shop—Women in Jazz
As part of Jazz Appreciation Month, KUVO Radio will break from its music format to present a one-hour conversation on “Women in Jazz” hosted by KUVO JAZZ host and Music Producer Susan Gatschet.
Guests on the panel are pianists and educators Carmen Sandim and Tenia Renee Nelson, and percussionist and co-founder of Muse Performance Space in Lafayette, Clare Church.
The women will discuss their views on the state of women in jazz, their respective musical influences, and offer their suggestions for young women hoping to enter the music profession full time.
Tune in Tuesday evening, April 6, at 6 pm for a special and important conversation with women who are making the music happen.
