Dave Hammond is retiring from a 30-year career at DSA and DPS. Every performance is a very special event this year.

The Denver School of the Arts Jazz Workshop Orchestra has a long history of being one of the top high school jazz bands in Denver, Colorado, and on the national stage. Having appeared 5 times at the Essentially Ellington High School Jazz festival, led by Wynton Marsalis in New York City and receiving numerous Downbeat Magazine’s Best High School Big Band, the DSA JWO continues to set the bar for what extremely talented jazz students can do at the High School level.
