For the first time ever, KUVO Jazz presents a very special live performance from the Rooftop Patio at the Buell Public Media Center on Thursday, June 23 at 8 pm. The Rooftop Patio is an intimate space atop our two-year-old building, with a great view of Coors Field and the downtown Denver skyline.

Our guest is the band “Connecting Flights” with band leader and guitarist Alex Heffron (one of KUVO’s “30 Under 30” honorees), with Gabe Rupe at bass and Braxton Kahn at drums (also a KUVO “30 Under 30” honoree) rounding out the rhythm section. Daryl Gott on alto sax and Taylor Clay on tenor sax weave through the melodies “in an intoxicating fashion.” The band was formed from an impromptu performance in 2021, and a flurry of new compositions has resulted from their collaboration.

KUVO Studio Club members will receive an invitation via email…be sure to click the RSVP button to register. Space is very limited.Learn about the STUDIO CLUB and Join Today!

The music from this Colorado-based ensemble will be LIVE on the radio (89.3 FM), KUVO’s stream (www.kuvo.org), and via the KUVO app.  Be sure to tune in for this debut performance from KUVO with Connecting Flights, on Thursday, June 23 at 8 pm.

LIVE performances on KUVO JAZZ are supported by Bonfils Stanton Foundation, Drum City Guitarland, Grace Design Pro Audio, Listen Up, Schmitt Music – Englewood, and made possible by KUVO’s Studio Club and Beat Collective members.
